Stacy Ekstein

Producer

Stacy Ekstein produces for studios, agencies, and production companies. Her clients include Warner Brothers, The Jim Henson Co., Condé Nast, Magical Elves, and American Airlines.  Stacy has a television series in development with CAA, Roddenberry Entertainment (Star Trek) and Profiles Entertainment (Amazing Race). She has developed content with Revelations Entertainment (Morgan Freeman) and J.K. Livin’ (Matthew McConaughey).  She was a segment producer for Netflix's Julie's Greenroom staring Julie Andrews. She produced Lifetime’s Seduced (2016) starring Elisabeth Röhm in her favorite local neighborhood, Venice, CA.   Passionate about social justice issues, she produced Private War (American Pavilion Showcase-Cannes), a short television pilot based on war stories of US female veterans with Emmy award-winning director Richard Gasparian (The Simpsons) and African Oscar-nominated short Elegy for A Revolutionary based on an anti-apartheid journalist in South Africa.  Stacy was a forerunner in producing female driven digital content with Dating in the Middle Ages (Telly 2014). She is developing the The Weight of Blood and Bones series, based on the award-winning short (Best Picture and Best Director; United International Film Festival, Action On Film Festival) she produced. Worldwide festivals including Cannes, Palm Springs International, Portland Film Festival, St. Louis Film Festival and Los Angeles Film Festival have honored her independent projects. Stacy has a B.A. in Literature and Psychology from Texas A&M University. She studied screenwriting and social work at Columbia University’s Social Work Masters Program before moving to Los Angeles. She is an active member of the Producer's Guild.
